Australian accounting practices now have anti-money laundering obligations. Whether you run a one partner firm or a national practice, the people doing the work need to understand what those obligations mean day to day. This training was built for them, by AML/CTF practitioners who do this work for a living.
Accounting practices are among the businesses newly brought into Australia's AML/CTF regime. If your firm provides services such as forming companies and trusts, managing client money, acting on the buying or selling of a business, or acting on property transactions, you are likely to have obligations.
Those obligations are not only a partner's problem. Your firm needs a risk assessment, a program setting out your AML/CTF policies, and the people delivering those services need to understand it: who your client really is, what you must check before you act, and what to do when something does not add up.
Completing this training may count towards your annual CPD, depending on your professional body's requirements. Every completion produces a record showing what was covered, what was asked and how each person answered.
Choose the number of training packs you need, including any governance packs for your AML/CTF Compliance Officers, AML ‘Senior Managers’ and members of your Governing Body. Assign them to your team and see at a glance who has completed their training and who still needs to finish, with reminders to keep everyone on track. Each completion generates a detailed record of the content covered, the questions asked and each person’s answers, ready to provide if your AML/CTF program is reviewed.
